    I bought the Fat Flush Plan for myself for my birthday. I have been on it for less than a week and have seen great improvements, not only in weight loss, but sleeping patterns, complexion, attitude, and mental clarity. My face is no longer puffy, I have improved energy, and my clothes are already fitting better.
    Let me also preface this review by stating that I have a background in the fitness industry, and am very familiar with various diet and exercise programs. Due to stress and other factors, I’ve developed some bad habits, and put on weight as a result.
    The Fat Flush Diet is quite restrictive and requires a lot of thought and planning, but well worth the time. You must eliminate many foods and drinks, but are able to enjoy many meats, eggs, veggies and fruits as well. I found, surprisingly, that substituting spices like cumin, cilantro, fresh ginger and garlic for the old salt and pepper was a welcomed change to my palate, and the cran water was actually refreshing.
    I personally had no trouble giving up artificial or regular sugar, dairy, caffeine or sodas. I was more concerned with eliminating my so called healthy whole grain pasta, and most of all wine! However, I found that the almost immediate benefits I felt have made it relatively painless, even when everyone else in my house was drinking beer and eating chicken wings while we watched football this weekend!
    On the downside, that flax seed in the Long Life Cocktail was disgusting. The book advises you to drink it quickly after stirring, but it still clumped at the bottom and actually made me gag! I add the seeds to food instead, and take the psyllium in pill form instead – this is the only reason for my 4 star review.
    On the contrary,I purchased the Fat Flush Chocolate Protein Powder, mixed it with a cup of frozen strawberries, the cran water, and a pk of Stevia. and it is delicious! I enjoy it in place of my old “happy hour” beverages.
    I believe Ann Louise has written the most comprehensive, sensible plan for weight loss and improved health I’ve ever read. Combine this with the moderate yoga and cardio the book advises, add some weight training after the initial Phase ! and you should see great results. I’m looking forward to continued success, myself.

    Dr. Gittleman is light years ahead of her time. Back in the days when fat was considered a dirty word by almost everyone, she was saying not all fats are bad. This was considered blasphemy! She gave examples of Omega 3’s being necessary and beneficial LONG before any body else. Buy a highlighter before you begin this book. You will find lots of info to reference. It is packed with excellent, detailed but easy to read information whether you want to lose weight or just get healthy. For instance, I had no idea that aluminum cookware was unsafe until I read this book. She has extensive herbal info, recipes and the science behind the “You are what you eat!” adage.
